Oh yeah, hi thar. It's been a while since I bothered to update, yeah? XD I just didn't want to since all my pretty subscriber header / footer junk would go kaput. D: Oh well, my journal is barren yet again.
Hanyway, I DID in fact get a job, but it's not where anyone would think. It's at a Nursing Home down the road, Schofield Residence. I'm going through PAID training to become a CNA. It's like Nursing I all over again, I swear.
But hey, they're paying ME $7.25 an hour to learn? Can't beat that... and once I'm certified I go up to $10.65. Yay.
Tomorrow's my certification, and that's starting to get me a bit anxious. It's a 50 multiple choice written test, then we demonstrate 3 of the 20 or so skills we've learned over the past four weeks correctly to a state (?) evaluator... The written isn't bad, it's the evals that scare me. If they're anything like NCCC's evals, I'm screwed up the butt...
Ah well, I'll worry about that tomorrow. ._. Now's time to unwind.
oh, and guess what? I was comissioned again by the Aquarium of Niagara. Never did that first image for them, but I'm doing an easier one this time... It's for their brand new Octopus exhibit. They have backlit images above the exhibits to go with info cards about the creatures, and they wanted me to do one based on the slogan "Octopus: The Alien of the Sea"... so yeah, I did this really cartoony thing that's hella cute. I just need to get some tempera paints and maybe some rice paper, since the prismacolors on tracing paper looks way too washed out to be any good...
But yeah, if any of you are in the Falls area and you visit the AoN, you'll see the rough draft hanging up there while I work on the final one. Lol.
Wow, this was long, but it was good to vent.
I'm still pissed about the jackass that reported me for art theft when that character IS COMPLETELY AND TOTALLY MINE. D:< GET A FUCKING LIFE.
