Ceramics Pet Project 2

Yep. Since I did a dragon's skull, I wanted to do a dragon's head.

(This pic was taken when it was still greenware, btw. It's currently bisqueware and ready to be glaze fired.)

Originally, my idea was to create something that I would later attach to a piece of polished wood, to simulate a taxidermied dragon's head. But, unfortunately, the horns got in the way of that. D:

So instead, I've decided to turn it into... a lamp. Yeah. The neck is hollowed out and has a little notch in it for a power cord, and there is an area in the mouth that I can possibly place a lightbulb.

The irises of the eyes are hollow, so light will pass through it when it's lit.

I didn't get detailed in the glazing, though. I just used Turquoise underneath Slate Blue. It's going to turn into this rich blue green when it's done. : D

There is something that still seems off about this thing to me, but oh well. It has character. :'D
