Ceramics: Chimnea

Hehehe, the upside to having access to the school's clay is that you can use it for WHATEVER you want.

And so I did. My mom loves Chimneas, SOOOOOO... I made her one. I pushed seashells of various shapes and sizes into the clay in the hopes that the glaze would pool and mess around with it a bit. It did. :> I'm surprised the tiny little starfish I'd used actually survived. I was sure the glaze would fill it in entirely.

Unfortunately, a huge crack developed on the inside since it'd fallen over once while I made it, but it stayed in tact. A foot got stuck to the kiln because there'd been too much glaze, so it had to be broken off and re attached. >3>

Noobish mistake, I'll admit, but this is the end result.

Clay: Standard Stoneware
Glazes: Yellow Orange (under) / Slate Blue (over)

PS: it's really not that yellow. It's more of a grayish green. The lighting sucked and I am terrible at taking decent pictures.
