Ceramic Jar 1

So yeah, I finally found my USB cord for my camera. Figured I'd upload the pics of one of my first big ceramic projects. This is still in the greenware stage, leather hard at best. Currently it's bone dry, and one of the pterodactyl's wings is cracked. :c glad I got a pic while I did, yeah?

We had to find a vase at least 100 years old to use as the main body... I can't remember where I got the image, I think a classmate gave me an extra of hers that she'd printed out.

Two of them had to be made... with coils. Thankfully we have an extruder in the studio, so it makes getting said coils MUCH easier.

The second task was to decorate at least one of the two pots with something related to a childhood toy we loved playing with. I played with a LOT of plastic animals, especially Dinosaurs... so. Yeah. Hence the dinos. Which are incredibly inaccurate / simplified, like a lot of the plastic toys I had.

The Brontosaurus was a pain in the ass (check out the next pic for a better shot of it).

I'll also be posting detail shots of the four dinosaurs in scraps. Yay.
